What We Believe

Statement of Faith  

Ignite International eagerly welcomes Christian athletes from all denominations.  Our common ground, that is critical, is that we share in the understanding that Salvation is a process by which an individual receives a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through believing in his/her heart and confessing with his/her mouth that Jesus is Lord.  (Romans 10:9-10).  We are all one body, and because of that truth, our objective is to reach out those in need with the love of Jesus Christ, and to bring multiplied thousands to a personal relationship with Him. Our prayer is that He will hide us, our upbringings, our backgrounds and our customs behind the Cross so that the world will see Him only.  

• We believe in one God revealed to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

• We believe in Jesus' virgin birth, sinless life, powerful miracles, the sacrifice of His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, ascension and future physical return to Earth as both Lord and King.

• We believe in the absolute inspiration and inerrancy of the Holy Scriptures.

• We believe that justification is by grace through faith in our Lord's sacrificial death on the cross.

• We believe that the Holy Spirit is active today, and His power is available to every Christian subsequent to conversion through faith in Jesus Christ.
